Happy Monday!
There are two common ways to look at failure.
Failure can be seen as a setback and a sign of defeat or it can be seen as a learning opportunity. These different perspectives will influence how you approach challenges, the degree in which you do or don’t take risks and ultimately what results you create.
Disney Legend, Marty Sklar (February 6, 1934 – July 27, 2017), had his own perspective as reflected in this quote:
Whether you see it as defeat or as growth – failure is part of changing, growing and becoming.
Getting something different and new in your life is always a 50/50 ride. Ups and down. Successes and failures.
✨ That is exactly how it is supposed to be.✨
What if instead of fearing the failure (which often can stop you in your tracks and prevent you from moving forward) – you expect it?
You welcome it?
You embrace it, learn from it and move on from it?
I mean, the mindset choice is yours. The choice to stay as is or try something new is yours too.
There is no right or wrong.
I just happen to think that a legend such as Marty knows a thing or two.
So, come on in, failure. Let’s go!
