Happy Monday!
At a recent event, I was chatting with a few people who were highly dissatisfied with the current leadership at their organization. This is not an uncommon topic. Heck – I’ve been in that highly dissatisfied place myself!
Yet, what I noticed was missing from that conversation was the ‘what’s next’ or ‘how I’ll choose to own my part” sentiment.
And then I thought…what would Captain America say?😀 As he did in the Marvel movie, “Avengers: Endgame”, he would say this:
In the 50/50 of life – we will continue to encounter situations that we don’t love.
→ Leadership that doesn’t resonate. An interview for a new position that doesn’t work out. Clients that say no. Sales that are slacking. Layoffs or teams that don’t click or policies that don’t make sense (and on and on and on…).
It can often seem like the world is doing these perceived adverse things to you.
But here is the good news: the truth is – you have control.
Your world is in your hands.
Decide how you want to react. Choose how you want to proceed. Make an agreement with yourself about how you want to show up and impact yourself and others.
Your time is always now.
