Message from Brad Paisley (Cars)

WELCOME TO THIS MAGIC MONDAY MOMENT

Kicking off your week with some thoughts around a favorite Disney quote (because in my world - Disney is life!).

Happy Monday!

Where I live in Minnesota – Fall is in full swing.  Although the air is getting crisp – we are still enjoying sunny, blue skies!  I know, however, that just around the corner, winter will be here.  The skies tend to be a bit grayer with the winter cloud cover.  It’s so interesting how the gray can shift my energy, mood and perspective (all, by the way, are mindset choices – I’m well aware of that!).

I like this quote from the song Behind the Clouds by Brad Paisley from the Disney/Pixar movie “Cars”.  It is a good reminder during those gray days.

This quote is also a good one for those times when things are a little unclear or seemingly tough.

When your job is stressful.  When your team isn’t working well together.  When your business isn’t growing like you want.  When your kids are struggling.  When you can’t find time for yourself.  When you can’t seem to lose that last 10 pounds.

In those times – things might feel gray and cloudy.  Motivation might be low and frustration might be high.  As a result – action toward desired results lacks.  We simply wallow in the clouds.

But just like the sun is truly always shining behind the actual clouds in the sky…we have the ability to clear our own clouds and create the results we most want.

It’s okay to feel the feelings that are generated based on our thoughts about the grayness – but don’t swim in them.  Process them.

And then do the work to take the clouds into your own hands.  When you examine and replace your thoughts to useful ones, you’ll start to look at the clouds a little differently.  You’ll begin to feel a shift in your energy.  Your actions will be aligned with the results you are looking to create.

And the sun will begin to emerge.

It’s always there for you.  You just have to see it.

In the metaphorically cloudy times, answer these questions: What am I missing out on by focusing on the clouds? What is behind the clouds and what action can I take to reach it?

Wishing you a wonderful week. You've got this!
