Today, we celebrate a milestone for two iconic characters that changed the world - Mickey and Minnie Mouse! November 18, 1928, marks the day these favorite characters were born, and what a fun ride it has been!
As we celebrate their birthdays, there’s a quote by the man who brought them to life that feels especially fitting:
Walt Disney built an empire, and yet he remained grounded, always acknowledging and showing gratitude for where it all began. Even today, The Walt Disney Company carries forward this philosophy of humility and vision, a formula that continues to inspire success.
There is a humility in greatness. Even the most monumental achievements can come from small, simple ideas - a mouse, in this case. Remember this when you find yourself comparing your current results to those you admire as ‘successful.’ Everything starts small.
The key is to pair your beginnings with a clear vision of where you want to go. It’s by staying grounded in where you started while also taking bold steps forward that you reach your destination.
Perhaps you will take something away from Walt Disney’s philosophy: never forget where you came from, cherish the creativity that sparked your journey, and recognize the incredible potential in the simplest beginnings.
