Message from Princess Jasmine

WELCOME TO THIS MAGIC MONDAY MOMENT

Kicking off your week with some thoughts around a favorite Disney quote (because in my world - Disney is life!).

original message date: 02/10/25

Happy Monday!

As I’ve been embracing my word of the year for 2025 (ignite) – I’ve really been leaning into my own limiting beliefs that have long gotten in my way.  I’ve been doing this self-awareness work for myself for quite a long time – but right now – it feels different.  Powerful.

When the live action version of Disney’s “Aladdin” came out in 2019 – the song “Speechless”, sung by Princess Jasmine (Naomi Scott), became a favorite of mine.  This line from the lyrics resonates deeply, as it's something many of my clients (and myself) have worked to overcome:

How many times have you held back your thoughts, swallowed your opinions, or hesitated to speak up?  Maybe you’ve felt underestimated - by others or even by yourself.  But here’s the truth: your voice matters.

Leadership - whether in the workplace, community, or daily life - is about using your voice with confidence and conviction.  It’s about standing up for what’s right, making tough calls, and ensuring that your presence isn’t just seen, but felt.

People will doubt you. YOU will doubt you.  Some may try to dismiss your ideas.  But the strongest leaders (and the most impactful humans) are the ones who choose not to be silenced.  They trust their instincts, embrace their strengths, and speak their truth - even when it’s uncomfortable.

And the world is a better place for it.

✨ Your voice is powerful. ✨ Your ideas are valuable. ✨ You are meant to lead. ✨

This week – think of an area that you are holding back from using your voice. What is getting in your way? What difference would it make if you did use your voice?

Wishing you a wonderful week. You've got this!
