Kicking off your week with some thoughts around a favorite Disney quote (because in my world - Disney is life!).

Happy Monday!
In the work I do – we talk a lot about personality styles. There isn’t a right or wrong style – yet sometimes people don’t agree with me. They want to be more this or less that (I have thoughts like that too!). And…it’s all possible! We can all dial up and dial down any part of our personality that we want to.
Here is a quote by Lumiere – the candelabra from one of my all-time favorite Disney animated classics – “Beauty and the Beast”:
Two things I draw from this:
1️⃣ “You don’t have time to be….”. You get to decide how to show up. You get to decide how and when to manage your brain. You get to decide when to do the hard stuff even if it’s uncomfortable. You have agency, choice and the key to creating what you want. (Good news, right!?) Playing small takes time – the one thing that we never feel we have enough of.
2️⃣ “…bold and daring…” Some people are probably more naturally bold and daring in their ways (subjective – of course). Others shudder at the thought. But there is something to be said about approaching your goals in this way. It’s how to get results.
Let’s take a little advice from the adorable and wise character. You don’t have to give into the uncomfortable that can hold you back. Use your time wisely. Decide to tap into the bold and daring – no matter how much it makes you sweat.
After all, you have important things to share with the world.
