The guest on this episode is so extraordinarily special! I first met Janell Peterson in 1998. She was my direct manager at the Hyatt Regency Denver. I was very early in my career - and Janell’s leadership, mentorship and friendship was a significant contributing factor to the shaping of who I became as a Human Resources professional and leader.

Always remember - “it’s not about me”. Know when to put your ego aside and really lean into humility.
Be honest. Own up to your own mistakes.
Foster trust in an honest and genuine way (from the heart).
Get out from ‘behind the desk’. Make connections with your employees. Really get to know them.
